The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested 23-year-old Kalusher Mtetwa following a vehicle chase that ended with the suspect crashing into a road kerb while allegedly attempting to evade arrest in Bulawayo.
Police confirmed that Mtetwa was arrested on 19 September 2026 at around 6pm in connection with the unlawful possession of drugs.
According to police, officers intercepted Mtetwa along G. Silundika Street between 8th and 9th Avenue, where he was allegedly seated in a blue Honda Fit GE6, registration number AHR 7991, which had been parked suspiciously.
Police said the suspect attempted to evade arrest, resulting in a vehicle chase that ended near Famona Fire Brigade, where the Honda Fit crashed into a road kerb.
A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the recovery of several sachets of dagga and Gorilla Glue, as well as Bronclear syrup and Astra Pain syrup.
