Chibuku Super Cup first-round action begins this Friday, with Scottland FC facing FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium.
All matches kick off at 3pm.
Saturday’s program features three matches. MWOS FC take on Agama FC at Ngoni Stadium, while Caps United face Simba Bhora at Rufaro Stadium as Ngezi Platinum Stars host ZPC Kariba at Baobab Stadium.
The first round concludes on Sunday with four matches. Defending champions Dynamos welcome Telone FC to Rufaro Stadium, while Hardrock FC host Bulawayo Chiefs at Chahwanda Stadium. Herentals College takes on FC Hunters at Ngoni Stadium, and in the standout fixture of the round, Highlanders face Chicken Inn at Barbourfields Stadium in a Bulawayo derby, just a few days before the two face off in a rescheduled Premier Soccer League clash.
All eight first-round fixtures are set for straight knockout format, as teams battle for a place in the next round of the lucrative cup competition.
Dynamos go into this year’s edition as defending champions, having beaten Simba Bhora on penalties in last season’s final. The Harare giants remain one of the tournament’s most successful sides alongside FC Platinum, who have lifted the trophy on multiple occasions since the competition’s 2014 rebrand, including back-to-back triumphs in 2017 and 2018.
